“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:6)
“At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me….” (Acts 26:13)
“…his eyes were as a flame of fire….” (Revelation 1:14)
The Face of Jesus
It was a tiny miracle for The Word who spoke sun and stars into existence to keep the Macabbean Menorah burning for eight days on the oil of one day. But since it was something beyond human capacity it was nonetheless a man-sized miracle.
A similar miracle–the multiplying of loaves and fishes–was enough of a sign for the Jews of Yeshua’s earthly walk to realize that he was The Prophet like unto Moses–the man through whom God gave Manna to wandering Israel for forty years.
Yeshua is surely The Light of the world. His face illuminates all things. After all, there would be no light had not he–as God The Word–ignited the chandelier of the universe during creation week.
But the greatest thing of all is that He is the light of Me! And You! He is the lamp unto my feet, the light unto my pathway.
So, let’s Celebrate this! Light your candle of testimony, and Let It Shine!
