What Manner of Love

Our God, the Mighty Creator of all things, before the Earth was even formed, foreknew that at the appointed time, He would conquer the evil forces that would immediately go to work to challenge His Authority and Sovereignty. He prophesied these marvelous divine events through Moses and the prophets. He forewarned us through His prophets, of every consequence that would occur, and laid out His ultimate culminating solution to completely win over His Creation back unto Himself. As part of the plan, this all-powerful God emptied Himself to dwell among us.  It’s truly a God of Love that manifests as He connects to His people, whether it was in a form of a burning bush, terrifying lightning, powerful earthquakes and thunder, a supernatural cloud by day, a blazing fire by night, a form of a Mighty Angel or even a remarkable rock that followed His people in the dessert. But the most beautiful and unfathomable manifestation was without a doubt, when He came in the form of a Son of Man, dwelling among us, taking on our sorrows and punishment for sin upon Himself thereby providing a way to new spiritual birth.

In the “picture” of God cutting covenant with Abraham, even providing the sacrifice on behalf of Isaac, we see Yeshua as our substitutionary sacrifice, being offered up unto the Father on our behalf.

The bible is full of these beautiful pictures, astounding prophecies and amazing depictions of God’s plan. All of them pointing to the ultimate fulfillment of complete total Restoration.

Our God came down to our level. He continues to speak to us by His divine Spirit. What manner of love is this?

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of [God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.  Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 1,2 NKJV

Let us relish in this immeasurable love. Heaven has come to Earth and now the Brilliant God of all creation has taken residence in us! Selah!
